Desmond Edson
Master Bartender, currently based in Los Angeles, CA.
He is first generation Nigerian-American and is originally from Bowie, Maryland. From a young age, Desmond was always fond of people. This well-rounded trait accompanied by his genuine interest for quality drinks, supported his passion in curating the lethal combination of exclusive experiences with customized cocktails.
At the age of seventeen, at The Green Turtle, a local restaurant in Maryland, Desmond began his Bar tending journey. With only four days to learn the cocktail menu including gauging measurements, this was the first time he proved the extent of his capabilities to himself. This not only solidified the confidence in that moment but planted a seed in the continuance of what would come to be his legacy. He enjoyed the connections in meeting new people, bringing people together, and creating in a free form.
This new found creative space, sparked what would be his next big move to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While in Philly, Desmond began the true ground work in perfecting his craft and owning his talents through the creation of his personal brand DrinksByDez™.
